                                           Demeter, who is the sister of Zeus, is the daughter of Cronus and Rhea.


              Husband of Demeter    


Demeter's spouse is Zeus, the Lord of Thunder.  Together, she gave birth of her daughter, Persephone, the Queen of Dead.

                                              Persephone is a great pet of her mother for Demeter loves her greatly.  Therefore, one day, the lord of Dead abducted her to the underworld to be his wife, Demeter was frightened by her daughter's disappearance and search through the whole wide world to find her daughter.  Zeus later solved the problem but give the appear of the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter.








               Areas Demeter governs &  Symbols of Demeter    

                                           Demeter is the Goddess of Fertility, Corn, Grain and Harvest.  She governs agriculture and fertility.

                                           She has been represented holding Sheaves of Corn, Poppies and Snakes.  These symbols relate to Demeter's nature as a Goddess of Fertility and Divinity of the earth.

                                           Demeter's symbol are sceptre, torch and corn.
